Our range of engines are all unleaded, all components are new unless otherwise specified, and the unit comes built up and ready to fit

We are able to offer this service on either your own unit, or if you prefer on an exchange basis with a surcharge applicable until such time as we receive a useable return unit

STANDARD ENGINE

Acid dipped to clean

To strip down engine and check components for wear

Regrind components to clean

Re-bore engine block to next economic size overbore

 

   

Right - final cleaning of engine parts prior to painting

STAGE I additional to STANDARD

Surface grind engine block face

Re-grind crankshaft, tuft ride crank and micro polish

Lighten flywheel and fit new ring gear

Balance con rods end to end and match all four weights

Match weights on pistons to balance, and height to deck of block

Balance crankshaft, flywheel, clutch and pulley together

Skim head to raise compression ratio

Front alloy engine block to be re-heli coiled

 

STAGE II additional to STANDARD & STAGE I

Port head, gas flow, measure and equalise combustion chambers. Equalise inlet ports

Match inlet manifolds and gaskets and dowel to head

 

New items fitted to engine

New Duplex timing chain c/w tensioner

New Duplex camshaft sprocket

New Duplex crankshaft sprocket

New 3 piece Clutch assembly

 

Engine when built up comes complete with

Front and rear engine plates

Flywheel fitted to engine

Front pulley and new front pulley nut ready fitted to engine

New set Spark plugs

Recommendation

 

JIGSAW recommend that our engines are run on either Penrite 20/50 or 20/60 dependent on how hard the customer wishes to work the engine.  We have found through our years of supply of Stage 2 and Race engines that these oils are the best.

It is recommended that these engines are best kept regularly serviced, with intervals of  6000 miles for Standard units and 3000 miles for Stage I & II units, or every six months whichever is sooner

Due to the nature of the camshaft and the necessity for the engine to run richer, the oil and filter are best kept clean, thus excess fuel does not result in thinning the engine oil.
