Team JIGSAW had put their entry into the organising committee, and certainly did not expect to hear anything for sometime. But what a Christmas present we received, a letter was received from the Le Mans organisers on 20th December 2005, which was such a surprise and also one of great relief, it read:- "Due to pressure, we have organised the committee's first meeting for the initial car selection process. Thus, we are delighted to confirm your entry acceptance as your TRIUMPH SPITFIRE 1964 is part of the first selection"

Team JIGSAW and ADU1B had been accepted and would be competing in the Le Mans Classic 2006 in Grid 4 1962-1965. At this point the hard work started in earnest in preparation of the event. Ferries, camping, passports, tickets .....

July arrived all too soon, and having had such a success at Zandvoort in May with Jan Lammers we hoped that our luck would hold out for the Classic. Unfortunately lady luck left us at the gates, and the

2006 Le Mans Classic was not to be our year.

A blown head gasket, an engine change and another gasket gone, saw us withdraw ADU1B from the last session of the event. A real disappointment for all of the team, but 'that's racing', and of course there is always 2008!!
